The public library is often called “the people’s university” because it is available to all, regardless of age, skill level, or ability to pay.

    A very sad day with no book catalogs. However the young folks don’t think so. They say it’s no problem going to the computer and looking up the books that way. I call it lazy.

  2. Although one can find books via the computer, I too miss the book catalogs, Sarah. What stories these cards could tell – of the millions of hands that searched through them for books – for information – for delightful journeys through literature.
